What you can track #
The Inventory module keeps count of your physical items – chairs, tables, dinner plates, glasses, spoons, forks, knives, table cloths, fans, lights and anything else. Each item can belong to a specific portion of the hall (Main Hall, Basement, Hall 2) or to a shared General Store, so you always know what is where.
Adding an item #
- Open Inventory → Stock & Items and click Add Item.
- Enter the name, choose the portion and category, set the unit (piece, set, dozen) and the opening quantity.
- Set a low-stock alert level so you are warned before you run out.
Every change needs a reason #
Whenever stock goes up or down, you record it with a reason – this is required. Open an item and use Add / Remove stock:
- Add (In) – for example “Purchased 100 new glasses”.
- Remove (Out) – for example “15 chairs broken during a wedding”, “30 spoons missing after a function”.
Each change keeps a running balance, and the item’s full history shows what happened, when, how many and why.
Low-stock alerts #
When an item’s quantity falls to or below its alert level, it is flagged Low on the list, and the headline shows how many items are low – so you can re-order before an event is affected. You can filter the list by portion, category, or low-stock only.
Benefits #
- Always know how many chairs, plates and spoons you have, and in which portion.
- Every loss or breakage is explained, so shortages are never a mystery.
- Low-stock alerts mean you re-order in time and never run short on event day.
- A clear audit trail helps control theft and wastage.
