The Catalogue QR module turns your product list into a shareable online catalogue. Customers scan a QR code or open a link to browse your items, prices and images — no app needed.
How it works #
Your catalogue is built automatically from the products you already manage in vFile. Keep your product details up to date, and the catalogue reflects them.
Generating the QR code #
Open vfile.app/catalogue-qr to generate a QR code and public link. Print it or share the link on WhatsApp and social media.
Worked example #
You run a seed and fertiliser shop and want customers to see your range without visiting.
- You make sure key products have a photo and price — e.g. Corn AG 603 at ₨5,000 with a clear image.
- You open Catalogue QR, choose your Sahiwal location and click Generate, creating a QR code and public link.
- You print the QR at the counter and post the link on your WhatsApp status.
- A customer scans it and browses a clean, mobile catalogue grouped by category.
- Next week you raise the price to ₨5,200 in vFile, and the catalogue shows ₨5,200 instantly — no need to touch the QR again.
What this affects #
- Reads live from your products — price/image changes appear automatically.
- No stock or ledger effect — the catalogue only displays products; browsing is not an order.
- Grouping follows your categories and brands.
Frequently asked questions #
Do I regenerate the QR when a price changes?
No. The catalogue is live — update the product in vFile and the catalogue updates itself.
Can customers place orders from the catalogue?
It is a display catalogue for browsing your range; it does not by itself change stock or create a sale.
How do I hide an item from the catalogue?
Keep that product out of the catalogue so your internal-only items stay private.
