# Gym & Memberships

The **Gym & Memberships** tools help subscription businesses — gyms, clubs and studios — manage members and recurring plans, so renewals and dues never slip.

## Plans, members & renewals

- Set up **plans** (monthly, quarterly, annual) with price and duration.
- Enrol a member onto a plan to create a **subscription** billed like a sale.
- See memberships **expiring soon** and renew in a couple of clicks, with optional [WhatsApp reminders](https://tecniforge.com/docs/vfile/vfile-notifications/whatsapp-notifications/).

## Worked example

You run a gym and want members and dues under control.

1. You create two **plans**: *Monthly* ₨3,000 and *Annual* ₨30,000.
2. A new member, *Usman*, joins. You add him as a contact and **enrol** him on Monthly, starting today.
3. The subscription bills ₨3,000 to his [ledger](https://tecniforge.com/docs/vfile/vfile-payments-ledger/partner-ledger-overview/); he pays ₨3,000 cash, clearing his account.
4. Three days before expiry, vFile flags his membership and a WhatsApp reminder goes out; Usman renews for another month.

## What this affects

- **Member ledger** — each subscription and payment appears on the member's account.
- **Payment accounts** — fees increase the account they are received into.
- **Income & renewals** — subscriptions count toward income, and the renewals view keeps them on track.

Yes. Each member is a customer contact, so their subscriptions and payments show on their ledger.
