# The Hall Ledger and net profit

## What the Hall Ledger shows

The **Hall Ledger** is your single, complete financial picture - everything from A to Z in one place. It brings together all your income (bookings and payments received) and all your costs (expenses by category, staff salaries, and more) for a period, and ends with the **net profit**.

## How to use it

1. Open **Hall Ledger** from the Finance menu.
2. Choose the date range you want (this month, a custom range, etc.).
3. Read the income section, the expense section grouped by category, and the final **net profit** line at the bottom.
