# Membership discount cards

## What a membership card is

A membership card is a loyalty offer you give a customer: a **discount** (a percentage or a fixed amount) that is valid for a **period you choose** - one month, three months, or any custom range. Each card has a **unique number** and is printable, so the customer keeps it and comes back for their next event.

## How to issue a card

1. Open the customer's profile.
2. In the membership section, set the **discount type** (percent or amount) and value, and the **valid-from** and **valid-to** dates.
3. Save - the system generates a unique card number.
4. Click to **print** the card (or save as PDF to send on WhatsApp).
